Skyward Mountaineering is a specialized mountain guiding service offering customized rock climbing, ice climbing, alpine climbing and backcountry skiing trips. As a small, independent business we strive to provide the highest level of customer service and support before, during and after the trip. Our office staff is comprised of passionate climbers, skiers, and guides: we are always available to discuss your goals, answer questions about equipment, logistics or route specific info.
We are based in Grand Junction and Ridgway, Colorado - positioned conveniently on the Western Slope with incredible access to ice climbing and skiing in the San Juan mountains during the winter months, rock climbing in the desert around Grand Junction and Moab during the spring and fall, and enjoying summer sport climbing in Rifle and Boulder. From this basecamp of operations we also offer climbing, skiing and mountaineering for extended expeditions in Alaska and internationally, plus shorter alpine missions in the Pacific Northwest during the summer months.
